About the authors

Dr Sajia Ferdous is a Lecturer in Organizational Behaviour at Queen's Business School, Queen's University Belfast, UK. She is a Human Resource Management expert and teaches at postgraduate research, postgraduate taught, and undergraduate levels. She is a Fellow of Advance HE (formerly the HEA). Previously, she held teaching positions at the University of Manchester and also worked in managerial roles within the financial industry.

The book presents a unique commentary on the traditional theories and ideas of HRM from a contemporary perspective. I feel that Ferdous' book can be utilized as a core text for both Bachelor's and Master's students looking to explore SHRM as situated in the broader global and technological context.

Dr Syed Imran Saquib, Lecturer in Human Resource Management and Employment Studies, Alliance Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester
